“Cases d’Oliba” is a project that brings together the main religious heritage facilities in the territory of the diocese of Vic, all of them with millennial roots that bear the imprint of the bishop and abbot Oliba (971-1046), a fundamental historical figure in the configuration of the country.
Promoted by the diocese of Vic, Cases d’Oliba wants to make it easier and more satisfying to visit a series of medieval churches in the regions of Ripollès, Osona, Bages, Moianès and Anoia. Because beyond their function as spaces for worship, the “Cases d’Oliba” are authentic heritage treasures: they preserve the best examples of the art of each era, they are a witness to the spiritual experience of people and communities throughout the centuries, and they are pleasant places of rest and silence.
Although Cases d’Oliba can include any church in our territory, the essential churches of the project are Sant Joan de les Abadesses, Santa Maria de Ripoll, the Cathedral of Sant Pere de Vic, the Episcopal Museum of Vic, Santa Maria de l’Estany and the Cathedral of Manresa. Sant Pere de Casserres, a facility owned by the Osona Regional Council, is also part of it. All of them have been declared Cultural Assets of National Interest (BCIN).

It also programs cultural and tourist activities and visualizes its actions on social networks to help its knowledge and the dissemination of this heritage and its activities.
