From Tavertet to Rupit: walk along the cliffs

Visit Tavertet, a village with limestone houses, many built in the 1700s, have the essence of an authentic cliff-edge Collsacabra village.  There are many examples of the Romanesque style in the area, such as the church of Saint Michael (Sant Miquel de Sorerols) one of best examples of this architecture in Osona.

The trail that joins this municipality with Rupit  (GR151) is very recommendable. Some of the best views of and from the cliffs can be seen on this walk and it takes you past ancient Masies (farm houses) that are unique, and through varied vegetation (ancient oak trees, and serene pastures) and is exceptionally beautiful.

Rupit is one of Catalonia’s most picturesque villages. It nestles harmoniously into the unique landscape of the Collsacabra region.
