From Molló to the Pyreneen border: a land crossed by Celts and Romans
The trail through Molló and over the border is a Pyreneen pathway, and goes through common mountain pastureland used over the centuries to graze the herds of the valley villages. This ancient pathway with wonderful views takes us to the end of the trail and which the Bishop and Abbot Oliba would have used in his time.
From Ripoll to Sant Joan along the Ruta del Ferro (the Iron Route)
To vist Ripoll is to step back into history. Its monastery, the symbol of the town, is one of the most beautiful and evocative buildings in Catalonia. From here one can follow the Ruta del Ferro (the Iron Route) and the Ruta del Carbó (the Coal Route) on foot or by bike, that follow the footprint of the old train track.
