Santa Maria de Besora

It is situated in southern Bisaura, in Teia’s Plain, close to the hill where you can find the ruins of the castle of Besora and the romanesque church of Santa Maria, which was consacrated in 898. The town was part of the region of the castle of Besora. It belonged to Sant Quirze de Besora up to 1798, when they separated. At present, its main economical activity is related to the agriculture and the ranching.
