The route of the airfield Vilatorta is formed through the remains of the old airfield, with a total of 13 shelters, a hangar and a gunpowder arsenal. The airfield was made in 1938 and became a privileged witness of the republican government's efforts to create a network of defense structures to counteract Franco attacks. Aiming to make small fighter-bombers, airfield starts operating to try to stop the last offensive blow of the national troops on Catalonia. The airfield includes the municipalities of Sant Julia de Vilatorta, Santa Eugenia de Berga and Calldetenes.
